Our team is at the heart of “The Sheren Difference.” This difference strategically sets us apart

vital contribution. To give you a quick glimpse of our in-house expertise and experience,
we highlight the following members of Sheren’s Leadership Team.

Role: Responsible for providing a vision for Sheren Plumbing and Heating, Inc. and for
overseeing the entire business, including operations, sales, marketing and customer relations.
Areas of Expertise: Extensive experience in all facets of HVAC and related fields; provides
a vision with the step-by-step action plans to achieve it; offers a straight-forward and honest
business approach; strongly committed to his employees, their families, customers and the local community.
Background: Over 30 years ago, Jerry started Sheren Heating & Cooling, Inc. after serving four years in the US Air Force Civil Engineering Division and working another nine years for various HVAC companies in Massachusetts and Michigan. He started as a one-man show and
gradually built the company to where it stands today. In 2000, he merged Sheren Plumbing &
Heating, Inc. with Comfort Systems USA and continues to lead the day-to-day operations of the
business. Jerry’s licensure's include: Master’s Plumbing License, Plumbing Contractor’s License,
State of Michigan Mechanical License and a State of Michigan Boiler License.
Jerry was not only born and raised in Northern Michigan, but also comes from a long line of Northern Michigan residents – including his great grandparents, who were among the original
homesteaders. Jerry has two grown daughters who also live in Traverse City. He enjoys
woodworking and spending time at his hunt club in Trout Lake.

Role: Responsible for residential sales and operations, designing plumbing and HVAC systems,
attracting and retaining customers and overseeing Sheren operations.
Areas of Expertise: Vast knowledge of all aspects of construction, mechanical layout and design for new and existing homes and businesses.
Background: Frank has 27-plus years of experience in the plumbing and HVAC industries, 21 years as a member of the Sheren team. His experience includes service and installation for plumbing and heating in residential and commercial structures, as well as design, management and sales. Frank is a State of Michigan licensed Master Plumber and has received numerous certificates of achievement for HVAC design and installation. Frank is a lifetime resident of Northern Michigan and has been married for over 24 years. He is the father of two children and enjoys camping, boating, hunting and many other hands-on projects with his family and friends.

Role: Responsible for accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, job costing, budgets and providing support to all of Sheren Plumbing & Heating, Inc.’s divisions. Responsibilities also include coordinating functions with Comfort Systems USA’s corporate office and managing the IT department, purchasing department, the warehouse and office staff.
Areas of Expertise: Attention to detail, analytical/problem-solving abilities, communication skills, team building and ability to adapt all situations.
Background: Linda offers more than 25 years experience in accounting and related fields and has applied her skills in many industries, including: HVAC, banking, hospitality, medical, publishing and others. She earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Business Administration, with an emphasis in accounting and a minor in economics from the University of Wisconsin. Linda was born and raised in central Wisconsin and moved to Traverse City, MI. in June 1998. She has been part of the Sheren team since 2004. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her son, gardening, quilting and cooking.

Role: Responsible for managing commercial operations including Design-Build project development;
overseeing commercial sales and project management; Energy Services project development
and implementation, as well as leading sales, marketing functions and mechanical contract
negotiations.
Areas of Expertise: Mechanical design and layout, identifying and developing energy-saving
opportunities and customer relations.
Background: Jeff has over 21 years experience in the mechanical business. Eight-plus years
have been enjoyed in mechanical Design-Build sales and development. The other 13 years were in the technical service and service management portion of the business. Jeff completed formal training in mechanical design; earned numerous business and technical training certifications, and has mechanical licensing with the State of Michigan. He enjoys fishing, camping, hunting, golf and other outdoor activities with his family.

Role: Responsible for the technical energy evaluation of facilities, including recommendations
for facility improvements and related cost savings.
Areas of Expertise: Chuck offers a unique blend of experience perfectly suited to assist Sheren Energy Services’ clients. He served four years as an executive member of Michigan Industrial Energy Cooperative; 20 years as a facilities engineering manager; 10 years conducting industrial energy audits; and six years providing technical energy analysis through the Rebuild Michigan program.
Background: Chuck has 10-years engineering experience and has been conducting energy audits since the late 1990s. He earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Western Michigan University and is certified through Michigan’s Energy Office to conduct energy audits. Chuck has also attended various seminars and training sessions and is also a member of the Association of Energy Engineers, the American Society of Heating, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineers, Inc. and the Association of Facilities Engineers.
Chuck lives in Traverse City, MI with his wife and enjoys biking, fishing, cross-country skiing and boating. He has three grown children.

Role: Responsible for managing the service department team, providing manufacturer training
for technicians and installers, plus ensuring customer satisfaction.
Areas of Expertise: Problem-solving and solution focus, as well as continuous attention to customer relationships.
Background: Don has spent the past 14 years of his career at Sheren, serving in various roles. His most recent assignment (since 2004) has been as Service Manager. He has been a local resident since 1980 and is married with two children. Don enjoys being outdoors, camping, boating and snowmobiling.

Role: Responsible for signing and sealing Sheren’s engineering drawings for the State of Michigan Bureau of Construction Codes approval.
Areas of Expertise: Engineering of heating, ventilation, cooling and plumbing/piping systems for commercial and industrial applications; performing engineering calculations to determine heating/cooling loads for system design; specifying HVAC equipment such as pumps, compressors, air handlers, fans, etc.; and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of all applicable codes and standards for the HVAC industry.
Background: Steve has worked with Sheren since 1996 in various capacities and offers 17 years of engineering experience (both in the HVAC/Design-Build and automotive sectors). He is a licensed Professional Engineer with the State of Michigan; earned a Bachelor’s of Science
in Mechanical Engineering from Michigan State University and has completed various training
sessions on team building and communications. He enjoys golf, reading in the areas of economics and politics, and enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter.
